■3rd Person POV■

Whispers are heard, a scared voice, excited voice, jokes and many kind of talks are in the air. The Shutoku Students on a field trip are now gathering in an open spaces area near the forest behind the hotel they're staying in.

The crowds shows many kind of expressions because they're about to do a treasure hunt game while doing a test of courage.

The game was planned by the students council and some of the teachers who're present.

Takao is talking with midorima and their friends, being boys who are excited for the game. Fuyumi came and hugs Takao's arm, getting the boy's attention.

Since their argument yesterday after Fuyumi dragged Takao to see Y/N and Kazuhiko on the balcony, Takao hasn't approached Fuyumi.

The girl was annoyed because she thought that Takao will just came and make up with her while in reality, Takao doesn't even bat an eye on her.

Though her pride is aching telling her not to approached Takao first, the talks that spreads among her friends, about how Takao and her are in a dispute makes her even more annoyed.

So she came to Takao, thinking that if she acted all cute and lovely Takao will apologize to her, when in reality he did nothing wrong.

Fuyumi: Kazunari... the wood is so dark...

Takao sighs seeing well that Fuyumi has something on her mind.

Takao: we will not enter the wood alone... we all will walk in pair...

Fuyumi smiles at Takao

Fuyumi: then let's walk together... Kazunari and I... I'll feel save when I'm with you...

Midorima sighs seeing his friend with the annoying girl. Takao too has became uncomfortable with Fuyumi since she talks badly about Y/N.

Takao: the pair will be decided by the teacher and the committee...

Fuyumi: my friend is in the council... I can ask her to pair us...

Takao looks at Fuyumi and the girl stiffens seing how Takao looks clearly annoyed.

Takao: that will be unfair...

Fuyymi let go of her hands on Takao and was about to sulk, but Midorima who sees his friend in such a situation called Takao, making the black haired boy left Fuyumi.

As Fuyumi watches Takao walks to Midorima, she notices that Tako is looking at a direction. Fuyumi turns her gaze to whatever Takao is seeing and there she found Y/N and her friends happily talking.

Fuyumi: that girl... Takao how could you look at her when you turned your eyes from me...

Fuyumi clenches her hands and then she looks at her friends from the council. Minami is Fuyumi's friend since Junior high school, she's part of the field trip commitee and council. Fuyumi came closer to Minami and whispers something to her.

Minami: wha- no way... that would be-

Fuyumi: oh come on... this is just to rile things up...

Minami: no it's dangero-

Fuyumi: Minami, you were not this righteous before... what about the old you from Junior high school being known here...

Minami gulps down, she has a good reputation here in Shutoku, but before, she was just a curious teenager that made mistakes. She doesn't want her past mistakes came out.

Minami: I... okay...

The teacher told the students to gather. They have sticks with number to divide the pair. Each one of them started to pick a stick.

Y/N looks at her stick and found out that she got number 5. She looks around and looking for someone with the same number.

Minami: does anyone has number 5?

Y/N turns around and sees Minami.

Y/N: ah hello, I'm L/N Y/N... it seems like we will be going together...

Minami: hi L/N san... you got number 5? Then let's do this together...

Takao watches as Y/N is talking with Minami. Takao is paired with one of his classmate, which means he thinks that Fuyumi didn't cheated on the pairing team.

One by one each team get through the wood. Until it's the time for Y/N and Minami. Y/N notices that Minami looks worried and nervous.

Y/N: Minami san... are you alright?

Minami stiffens and look at Y/N with a wry smile.

Minami: ah right... I'm just scared of the dark...

With that Y/N hands Minami the flashlight with a smile.

Y/N: then, do you want to hold the flashlight? It's alright we will go together...

Minami was strucked with heavy feelings as she found how kind Y/N is. The thing is, Fuyumi told her to do something. Though she's feeling burdened, she's blinded by the fear of having her bad past spreads in Shutoku.

Minami: right... thank you L/N...

Takao watches as Y/N smiling at Minami and his heart warmed. Fuyumi's team had finished their turn. Fuyymi is now getting closer to Takao.

Fuyumi: oh my... I was scared...

Takao doesn't want to be too hostile and pats her head.

Takao: you've done well with your teammate... good work...

Fuyumi is delighted that Takao pats her head, but she then notices that Takao is looking at the pair who are walking into the wood now. As she is filled with jealousy, she smiles a little, knowing that something will happem to Y/N.

Minami and Y/N have walked deeper into the wood and Minami became more anxious, just then she make up her mind and pretends to trip, making her bump into Y/N's body.

She only want to make Y/N fall so that she'll be covered in mud and doesn't planned to harm her much, but bad luck is arouns them, as she trip and make Y/N falls, Y/N fell right into a ravine, shocking Minami.

Y/N fell and her head bumps into a hard soil making the girl lose consciousness. Minami was frightened when she sees blood on Y/N head. Though Fuyumi told her not to help Y/N, The girl immediately runs to get help.

The crowd was chilling and all when they hears the commotion Minami make.

Minami: Help!! Please help, oh god!

This caught Takao's attention as well. The teacher come and approach the panicked girl and trying to calm her down, but Minami just can't calm down.

Minami: I'm sorry... I'm so sorry... I trip... and... I bump into L/N... she... please help her... she fell into a ravine... there's blood...

Takao's heart was in so much pain as he hears this  blood rushing and he can't calm down.

Teacher a: where is she?

Minami: she... hiks... we were at the third junction... not far from the big tree with the yellow flag...

Teacher b:  someone contacts the guard at the post, the other teacher, let's go the- oi... who's that? Hey don't go into the wood!!

The teacher stopped talking the moment he sees Takao runs right into the wood. Nonoka and Kazuhiko see this and both want to go as well, but the teacher prevents them from going.

Fuyumi sees as Takao runs from jer side, getting in to the dark wood on his own. She's annoyed, and angry.

Takao runs as fast as he can, jump around so he didn't trip, didn't care when small branches scratches his sleeves arm and cheeks.

Takao: Y/N...

The biy runs while looking around until he's at the said junction and found the tree. Takao looks around

Takao: Y/N!

As he looks at the ravine, he sees Y/N, her eyes are closed and she looks like in pain.

Takao: Y/N!

Takao slides down and head to Y/N's side right away. He cradles the girl in his arm. As he's calling on her name, Y/N can only grunt in pain.

He immediately put Y/N on his back and tied her body to him using his jacket that he tied on his waist earlier.

He then climbs the ravine and immediately head to the exit. As he runs, Y/N regain her consciousness for a split second.

She opens her eyes to see strands of black locks. Her body was moved so much as the person who carries her is running. Though Y/N can't see the person's face, she feels familiar.

The warmth of Takao's body, his scent and all, and how he keeps saying "please be okay", the worries in his voice and how they came out, everything is very familiar.

Y/N wants to say something but her eyes is too heavy and so she passed out again, leaning her head on Takao's shoulder.

Takao : please... be okay... please...

On his way he meets the teacher who chase after him and the teacher helps him to carry Y/N. When the teachers were about to take Y/N away from Takao, Takao feels that Y/N clenches his shirt, as if she doesn't want to let go. Takao refuses to hands Y/N over to the teacher.

Takao: let me... carry her please...

With that the teacher allow Takao to bring Y/N to her room. Nonoma and Kazuhiko see this and follow the teachers and Takao. Midorima too follows Takao and the teachers.

Fuyumi sees how Midorima comes to see Y/N when he always avoid being around her, is getting more upset. She's the girl who is close with Takao, but his best friend likes Takao's ex more than her.

Takao puts Y/N on her bed and take a step back to let the doctor examine her. Nonoka, Kazuhiko and Midorima came into the room and stand next to Takao. They all watch the doctor and nurses are all cleaning the blood on  Y/N's head.

Doctor: thankfully, the wound is not deep... there's no bumps as well no sign of internal bleeding...

Takao and rhe other sigh as he hears this. The doctor told everyone to leave the room and let Y/N rest. They can only have one person each to look after her.

When he hears this, Takao looks at Nonoka who glances at him. Though he wanted to watch over Y/N, he still think that it's better for him to leave. With that Takao and Midorima both leave the room.

Nonoka will be the one who'll look after Y/N, but she needs to get her stuff first and ask Kazuhiko to watch over her.

Kazuhiko stares at Y/N's unconscious face. His heart clenches seeing her like this.

Kazuhiko: hey... you'll be okay...

Kazuhiko moves his hand and gently covers Y/N's hand with his.

Y/N: Kazu...

Kazuhiko was surprised when he hears Y/N's voice, thinking that the girl is awake. When Y/N looks Y/N's eyes are still closed.

Kazuhiko: Y/N?

Y/N holds Kazuhiko's hand back, making the boy heart flutters. Butbthe next thing that came out of her lips, hurt him like he never imagined.

Y/N: Kazu...nari...

Kazuhiko flinches when he hears this. He sees as a tear rolls down her face. Kazuhiko takes a tissue and wipes her tears gently.

He then hears that the door is being opened, Nonoka has returned.

Nonoka: Ozawa, thank you... you can go back...

Kazuhiko nods at this and walks away. He smiles at Nonoka before leaving the room. Nonoka kinda sense that there's something wrong with Kazuhiko. He looks upset.

Nonoka looks at Y/N.

Nonoka: Y/N... did something happened?

Of course the sleeping Y/N doesn't respond to it.

Kazuhiko walks back to his room, closing the door behind him. His roommates are greeting him about to ask him to go back with them to the huntinf ground, but Kazuhiko just smiles at them and go to take a shower.

After showering, Kazuhiko lays on his futon and covers  hia face. In his mind

"Y/n: Kazunari..."

Today Kazuhiko realized something. Though Y/N and Takao are no longer together, seeing how Takao doesn't even think twice and ran to look for Y/N right away, and how Y/N called Takao name in her sleep. Kazuhiko can tell that there's still a bond between the two.

Takao is leaning on the window of his room, looking at the moon. He can't help but worrying about Y/N. Midorima came into the room and get into his futon right away.

Midorima: Takao, rest... you'll see her tomorrow... she'll be alright...

Takao only nods but still looks up at the moon . He notices that, There's something with the accident. He somehow feels responsible for this because he thinks that Fuyumi is behind this.

Takao think of Y/N's face.

He can't sleep and decided to go back to the hunting ground. Because he's triubled by something.

Takao: Midorima... let's go back to the hunting ground...

Midorima sighs and sits.

Midorima: I followed you because I hoped to get away from the game... it's tiring...

Though he's complaining, the three pointer got up and follow his friend back at the hunting ground. Takao is uneasy, in his mind he can only think about Y/N and the thing that happened to her.

He prays...

That YN will be okay...

And prays for her happiness only...
